DESCRIPTION: In this course, students will learn a full Bollywood choreography. Bollywood dance exists on a continuum with one end being pre Classical Indian dance/folk dance/gypsy dance from India, and the other end including jazz, belly dance or hip-hop fusion influences. This choreography attempts to embrace the more traditional end of this spectrum. It will include movements that derive from classical Indian dance, as well as hand mudras. It is best suited to students who have already studied Bollywood dance, but interested prospective students should inquire, even if they have no prior experience. The class will move somewhat quickly as the choreography is around 5 minutes long.
PLEASE NOTE: All Level 2 classes require instructor permission (by email) even if you have registered in Level 2 classes in the past. This class requires a minimum of 12 students.
